As a certified training and examination company, we cover all necessary areas for the education of drone pilots. Whether you’re planning your first flight or an experienced pilot looking to obtain certification quickly, you’ve come to the right place. Anna and Nico personally conduct all courses in Southern Germany and Northern Switzerland. For all other regions in Europe, we have close partnerships with over 50 experienced instructors and examiners to ensure a high-quality experience in your drone operations. Furthermore, we are building Europe’s largest network of professional drone operators, with over 3500 registered, trained, and certified remote pilots. Our extensive experience ensures that nothing goes wrong at your unique events. We are already familiar with most authorities in the DACH region and offer a wide network of pilots, allowing us to provide you with any date and location for aerial photography. Our Vision

At Drone Lions, our vision is to empower every drone pilot to seamlessly accept flight missions from their smartphones, without the hassle of dealing with permits. We take care of all the permissions on the DroneMaps24.org platform, allowing pilots to simply hop in their cars and take on spontaneous assignments in their vicinity. Our Certification

Drone Lions is proud to have been approved as a training and testing facility for the knowledge examination according to the German Aviation Ordinance § 21d by the Federal Aviation Office (LBA) from 2017 to 2020. During this time, we have successfully trained over 400 pilots who have gone on to pass the examination. Since January 2021, we have expanded our offerings to include courses for obtaining the EU Competency Certificate and the EU Remote Pilot Certificate. As the regional office designated by the LBA, we also conduct the official examination for the EU Remote Pilot Certificate A2, in accordance with the latest regulation (EU) 2019/947.

Nico Ninov

Founder and CEO of nicopter GmbH since 2016 in Flurlingen, Switzerland. He holds a diploma in Communication and Information Technology (2009) and has been coaching drone pilots since 2010. With over 10 years of experience as a Business Development Manager at ABB Schweiz AG, Nico is also the head of the “Training, Licensing, and Personnel” department at UAV DACH since 2019. Anna-Katharina Aardeck

Deputy Managing Director of nicopter GmbH since 2016, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Development and Internationalization. With her expertise as a drone pilot and trainer since 2016, Anna-Katharina plays a significant role in the success of Drone Lions.
